Born in Kitchener Ontario, Kirk, at the age of four, moved out west with his family to Victoria, British Columbia. Inspired by the natural beauty of the West Coast, he developed an interest for photography early in life.
Interest soon turned into a hobby, which then turned into a passion for viewing the world around him from a different perspective. Originally working in black and white, Kirk developed a keen eye for texture, form and lighting. Over the past three years, he has been shooting in colour, with black and white remaining his true love.
