An Eastern View

This image was created just a few hour prior to sunset on a cold evening in March. The snow that is still present on the rocks lent to added texture and definition to the glacial scared rock that the light house sits on.

Moody Rocks of Moreaki

Off the southern coast of New Zealand, these giants from the past have amazed those travelers who have been fortunate enough to find them. I managed to find the beach a little over 45 minutes prior to the sunset. The colours of that evening were subtle, so creating this into a black and white image allowed for a more dramatic scene that was framed nicely by the cloud formations.
