Frozen Moments Photography ("we", "I") is a photography business based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect
When you contact us through the enquiry form or by email, we receive the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number if you include it, and your message. We use them only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to arrange and deliver the work you've asked for.
When you buy a print through the online store, the order is handled by Squarespace and its payment processor. We receive your name, shipping address, email and the details of what you ordered, so we can print and ship it. We never see or store your full card number; payment details are handled entirely by the payment processor.
This site uses Google Analytics and Squarespace's built-in analytics to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and how they found us. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It is used only to improve the site.
Private client galleries are protected by a link and password given only to the client. They are not indexed by search engines and are not visible to other visitors.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it, and any such email includes a way to unsubscribe. We do not use your photographs or your name in our own marketing without your permission.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, for clients, for as long as we work together plus the period required for business and tax records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Cookies
Squarespace and Google Analytics set cookies to make the site work and to measure visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though the store may not remember your cart.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [fmphotography7@gmail.com] and we will respond within 30 days.
Google services
This business uses Google Analytics to view its own website statistics. That access is read-only, is used solely by Frozen Moments Photography, and does not share any visitor data with third parties beyond Google's own processing under the Google Analytics terms.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
